MOVEMENT IS YOUR PORTAL TO THE HIDDEN SIDE OF YOU

The body speaks to us in its own secret language. Due to life's hustle bustle our ability to decipher the body's unique call diminishes. Many of the mindful practices offered to us allow temporary escape, but don't truly teach us to psychically read ourselves. Through the regular practice of movement, this language becomes colloquial, and we expand our emotional and physical vocabulary and gain insight into your own unconscious.

We will honor both the light and shadow work that arises through our work together. When obstacles arrive, we get curious. We will integrate movement practices that help you build intuition while releasing old limiting stories. Stretch to grow outside your comfort zone.

FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT COACHING

My intention is to support you in integrating and embodying movement into your day-to-day life in a way that feels natural, seamless, and sustainable.

We will work on mobility, stability, and strength through functional training progression. Dynamic movements, alignment and postural training, coordination, somatic endurance, skill-building, balance, and slow based movement while always maintaining integrity of movement.

Movement Coaching offers you accountability and support to change your life with respect.

CORRECTIVE EXERCISE


Many of us have aches and pains, whether from our daily lives, past injuries, or emotional blocks. Movement becomes part of your pain management and injury prevention.

Each session is tailored to the individual, but a typical session will include:

+ A check-in with your body and your needs today. Intention setting, breathwork.

+ A dynamic warm-up and corrective exercises for pain management, posture, alignment and deep grounding.

+ Your curated movement practice: cardio bursts and functional strength training.

+ Ending with recovery work, homework, closing practice.

Outside the studio, you’ll have support in building a personal plan for integrating movement, ritual, self-care and home practices that you can carry into your real life.

POST-REHABILITATION OR INJURY SESSIONS

Injury can be a major obstacle in maintaining an active life. Let’s think outside the box and find exercises that help you strengthen your body while preventing pain and re-injury.

Some of these tools are helpful for everyone—like mindfulness—and others will fit for certain individuals. The goal of all our self-care coaching is to teach you what works for you and give you tools that you can use on your own.

    If folks have just formed their care team and/or have been dealing with chronic pain, major life transitions, etc. or if they haven't been able to lessen their workload in their career, they may stay on a bit longer while their manifested life starts to unveil itself.
