Somatic Movement:

A Portal to Deeper Self-Awareness & Emotional Resilience

Your body holds a language all its own—subtle, powerful, and often ignored in the noise of daily life. Without conscious practice, it becomes harder to hear what the body is truly asking for.

Many mindfulness techniques offer temporary escape, but few teach you how to read your body psychically—to sense, feel, and respond from within.

Through regular somatic movement and nervous system-informed practices, this hidden language becomes familiar. You'll expand your physical and emotional vocabulary, gain insight into unconscious patterns, and begin to trust your intuition from the inside out.

In this work, we welcome the full spectrum of your experience—light and shadow, clarity and discomfort. When obstacles arise, we don’t override them—we get curious. Together, we’ll integrate movement and embodiment practices that build self-trust, help you release old narratives, and guide you toward a more intuitive, sustainable rhythm of living.

Somatic work can be woven into each session or a stand alone session. Energy work is also an option.

Your path is personal. That’s why we begin each journey with an in-depth discovery session—a choose-your-own-adventure designed to explore your needs, goals, and the kind of self-care support that will serve you most right now.

RESTORATIVE MOVEMENT , FUNCTIONAL REPATTERNING & STRENGTH

Pain carries memory—of injury, overuse, and even unprocessed emotion. Whether you’re navigating chronic tension, misalignment, or energetic fatigue, movement can become your medicine.

This is more than just exercise—it’s repatterning. A way to reeducate your body and nervous system, rebuild strength, and restore fluid, pain-free movement.

Together, we’ll build mobility, stability, and strength through progressive, functional training. Each session may include dynamic movement, biomechanical posture and alignment work, breath/body coordination, somatic endurance, skill-building, balance, and slow, intentional sequences—all grounded in integrity of form and in relationship with the nervous system.

Each session is intentionally crafted to meet your body where it is, using a blend of restorative movement, alignment-based practices, and neuromuscular reeducation techniques.

A typical session may include:

  • A check-in with your body’s current emotional needs—paired with breathwork and intention setting.

  • A dynamic warm-up and targeted movement to support joint stability, posture, and nervous system regulation.

  • A curated blend of strength training and functional movement to reinforce new patterns and build resilience

  • Integration through recovery , releasing tissue, trigger points and mobilizing fascia.

  • Somatic downshifting, and personalized home rituals to extend your healing beyond the session.

You’ll leave with tools to care for your body in real time—while building a movement practice that’s nourishing, intuitive, and deeply supportive of your emotional and energetic landscape.

My intention is to support you in weaving movement into your daily life in a way that feels natural, intuitive, and sustainable—something your body craves, not resists.

Our collaborative & experiential work together is rooted in care, not control—offering flexible structure, boundary setting, accountability, and the kind of support that helps you move through life with clarity, confidence, and respect for your body’s wisdom.

Testimonials

Christine has been just amazing all around. We worked on many different facets of movement, body, mobility stuff and with a long time back problem of mine that has really flared up in the last few years. She encouraged me to listen to my body and stop pushing just before I hit the place where the pain kicks in. We worked with movement, talked about food stuff (in a HAES context), sometimes just stretched if that was what was needed. She supported/encouraged me to see healthcare professionals after having traumatic experiences with doctors in the past and helped me figure out how I can set boundaries with them. My life has been changed for the better after working with her. If you are looking at these reviews deciding if you want to work with Christine, I’d say YES! Give her a try if you are looking for a lovely, supportive, caring, extremely knowledgeable person to work on body stuff with.

Christine was truly wonderful and multi-talented. She brought awareness and intention to our sessions and never once made me feel judged or overly exerted, which was incredibly valuable to me as someone with trauma from traditional gyms and exercise settings. Her knowledge of the body of was impressive and I learned tools I’ll keep with me for life while working with her. And her reiki services are POWERFUL! She is a force of good in the world and you would be lucky to work with her.

For real, been trying to figure out life for the last couple of years. Being post-grad, I lost so many good things in my life by way of habits or self-care (nearly nonexistent). Last February, I walked by Christine’s studio and I have been hooked ever since. I can honestly say she has fully helped me add so much value to my day-to-day life. I have learned so much about myself and how to self-heal and care. Thank you, Christine, for being a beaming example of what it means to put in the work.

  • Yes—chronic pain support and injury recovery are a core part of my work.

With over 20 years of experience supporting clients with chronic pain, movement limitations, and injury rehabilitation, I offer a compassionate, body-informed approach that blends somatic movement, functional strength training, and nervous system regulation.

I also bring a lifetime of personal experience navigating pain, so I understand how deeply it impacts your day-to-day life—not just physically, but emotionally and energetically. Our work together is designed to help you move with less pain, more clarity, and greater confidence in your body.

  • Yes—trauma-informed care is a foundational part of my work.

I am a trauma-informed somatic practitioner with over 22 years of experience supporting individuals across a wide range of life experiences. My background includes working with children, adults, at-risk youth, post-incarcerated women, and individuals navigating complex trauma.

I specialize in supporting clients dealing with:

    • C/PTSD and developmental trauma

    • Sexual trauma, emotional abuse, enmeshment, and boundary repair

    • Eating disorder recovery and substance abuse recovery

    • Neurodivergence, including autism, ADHD, sensory processing challenges, and Highly Sensitive People (HSPs)

    • Those with high ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences) scores and chronic nervous system dysregulation

My sessions are designed to support nervous system safety, build body awareness, and help you reconnect with yourself in a way that is empowering, respectful, and deeply healing.

  • Many clients experience powerful transformation within six months—while others choose to continue for deeper integration and long-term support.

For some, six months of 1:1 somatic coaching is enough to create significant shifts in body awareness, nervous system regulation, and self-trust. Others—especially those navigating chronic pain, major life transitions, or high-stress careers—opt to extend their journey for another 3 to 6 months with weekly, biweekly, or monthly sessions.

I also offer group coaching containers and alumni support options for clients who want to stay connected, deepen their practice, or move through new layers of healing as their life begins to realign.

If you're just beginning to build your care team or are still working within a demanding lifestyle, an extended timeline can offer the consistency and support needed for sustainable, embodied change.

  • Most clients experience meaningful and sustainable transformation—often discovering that what they truly need goes far deeper than their original goals.

In our somatic coaching and movement sessions, we continuously refine what success means for you. This work is about aligning your goals with your values, body signals, and deeper desires—not just checking boxes or chasing external outcomes.

Sometimes clients discover that their initial goals conflict with their nervous system's capacity or their true needs. Together, we compassionately explore this, unshame the process, and reconnect you with what truly matters.

    The result?
A personalized, embodied path to growth—one that often uncovers what I call the “hidden treasure chest”—insight, freedom, or clarity that lives just beneath the surface of performance-based goals.

This is transformational work that ripples far beyond the studio: into your relationships, your work, your health, and your sense of self.

  • YES!!!

For some folks this might be preferred, depending on where your nervous system is at being in their own space can be very healing and safe for you.
